Winter Heating Tips for the Bathroom

Winter Heating Tips for the BathroomYou wake up, bundled in a cocoon of blankets. It is winter and you are reluctant to get out of bed, knowing that as soon as you pull the covers off you will be bombarded by the frigid cold. But you persevere and get out of bed. You head down the hall and walk into the bathroom…

Whoa! The tile flooring is freezing. You can barely stand still on the cold surface. There has to be a better way to heat this room…

Winter Heating Tips for the Bathroom

Around this time of year, people begin to notice that their bathrooms are really chilly in the mornings. Fortunately, you do not have to settle for the that cold hard fact in your bathroom or kitchen anymore.. You can fight back. How?

  1. Wall or Ceiling Mounted Heaters: “We recommend wall or ceiling mounted electric forced air heaters to cut that chill,” said TriStar Electric owner Dave Crawford.
  2. Heated Floors: “If you are considering remodeling your kitchen or bathrooms we also recommend a fairly new system for heating those cold tile floors,” suggested Dave. “TriStar can supply and install a complete cable or mat style system that is installed between the tile and the sub floor.” This system works great and comes complete with a wall mounted thermostat with a digital a built in timer that can be set to start warming your floors before you even wake up.
  3. Toe Kick Space Heaters: These heaters are easily capable of heating the entire room and can be conveniently installed in the toe kick areas of any bathroom vanity or kitchen cabinet. Another great idea for these toe kick spaces is LED tape which will provide a warm and very low wattage light to these areas to provide a custom affect. These lights work great for night lighting but also look great to leave on all day and night and cost pennies since they are LED. TriStar can also install these light with motion activation controls so they come on when you sleepily walk into the bathroom by gently illuminating your path. What could be more convenient?

Please contact TriStar Electric for a free in-home or business heating consultation with one of our heating specialists. We can install a variety of heating elements in your home, including Electric Baseboard, Forced air electric ceiling or wall mounted heaters for garages, Wall or ceiling mount forced air heaters for halls or bathrooms, Forced Air Electric, and Electric Heated Tile Floors or mats.

It is crucial that this electrical work be performed by a professional to reduce the possibility of a shock hazard or fire.

Heating Tip: When bathroom exhaust fans are left on past the point needed for exhaust humidity and moisture from the room, they will then start exhausting the heat from your house. This is why we strongly recommend you have TriStar Electric install a simple one touch count down wall timer for all of your bathroom and powder room exhaust fans.

With the coming holidays, all of these warmhearted solutions would be a great gift idea for the wife too!
